My 2010 card says 'Only to be used in NISSAN CONNECT' and the new one says 'Only to be used in NISSAN CONNECT2' Did they change the Connect Nav System in 2012/2013? Again, I am new to this and could just be ignorance on my part. I wish the NAVTEQ website would say what version/model the current SD CARD is but it doesn't. Sorry for dragging up an old thread, bu what do people have as there latest maps/software on their Nissan's? I have a 2016 Nissan X-Trail ST-L and wanting to confirm wether I have the latest maps/software or I have to take it up with dealership. Navshop.com.au have just released TomTom Australia version 22 and New Zealand 11 for Nissan.

Better off taking out nissan sat nav and outting in after market.

I have a 2013 xtrail, the maps are way out and takes you round the world to get any where. I need to check street directory before leaving. It's now telling me up dates are available, but from all accounts expensive and still not good. My husband put an after market sat nav and reverse camera in his 2002 pathfinder. For $700.00 he got a 7' screen, the maps and guidance are extremely good and up dates are inexpensive. It's time the car industry starts providing, the good customer service they talk about, free updates like most other software or we take our business else where.

Map Update not eligible to 2015 pulsar B17 stl

Had to go through a very long issue but was told latest update was already installed which is version (sd2-connect_2012_aus-nzl v8) and my car was not eligible to complimentary update eventhough the website says B17 models.
The version clearly says 2012 How come to scam saying its latest.
Sounded dodgy when i asked dealer about complimentary map update he replied saying the updates retails around 3-400 but I will try for you.

Should not even need an upadate.

Bought a new 2016 model Qashqai in 2017. I recently discovered that the navigation system does not recognise (major) roads that were completed in 2012! So I need to use the Complimentary Map Update on offer, just to bring it up to the spec it should have been in the first place!
I was told I could have one free update prior to purchase, I figured I would use that in three or four years - I did not realise the current maps were so horribly out of date.
Very poor service in my opinion.

No map updates - 2013 Dualis

I bought a new Nissan dualis in 2013, the maps and system was already outdated when I drove it away. I was advise that the maps and system would be updated at the 1000km car service but that didn't happen. I asked for a map update since then, still no complimentary map or system update. I am getting my car service today (9/6/17) at Nissan Liverpool NSW, still no complimentary car service, especially when they are offering map and system updates to other Nissan models. I will not buy another Nissan again.

Free Map Update with Service

Just had Nissan upgrade my maps for free on my Qashqai 40k service. I am happy about that. When previously enquired map upgrade​ was expensive, now free with my service, maybe they are listening.

2016 NP300 STX with 1916 maps

Bought my Navara STX in November 2016 and found maps were ancient when I queried dealership about it they said they were the only maps they had. How many thousands of other new cars are out there with outdated software. PATHETIC!!!

Navigation update for Pathfinder ti550

Want to charge $700+ for an update. All they do is insert a cd and let it run for approx 1 1/2 hours.
Found out is for a 2014 update.

Save your money!

I have a 2015 Altima and bought the v8.0 upgrade which boasted 45,000 new miles of roads, more than 100,000 points of interest, and millions of other new data points, including street names and addresses. NOT TRUE..at least not where I drive!!! Road constructions that have been in the making for years were not on it, many street names were eliminated and the printing of the street names which were on the map were so small they were barely readable. It couldn't find its way to an establishment that has been in business for years on a major highway that has existed for years. I re-set it at the location (after using my phone GPS to get there) and when it recalculated it wanted to send me 3 miles out of my way! The original version that came with my car worked much better. I returned it and I'm getting my money back.

out of dates maps

i have a 2011 pathfinder which was a nissan company car i have had 2 up dates and fond that it is still way out of date as i travel a lot up the east coast and inland discraseful i will never buy another nissan service from nissan

$735 for an navigation upgrade

I bought my Nissan Qashqai in Jan 2016. Apparently the navigation software was dated 2013 so it was already three years old when I bought the car. At a recent service I asked for an upgrade because the maps were obviously out of date. I was told it would cost around $8-900. Finally given a firm price of $735. I was furious. THAT is a massive ripoff. I haven't upgraded. I refuse to pay such an exorbitant cost for such basic software. I'm now seeing messages on here saying Nissan will do the upgrades for free. Can someone elaborate on this please? Thanks.

Why sell a new car with old technology and not tell the customers?

When I bought my Nissan X Trail 12 months ago, I was excitedly until I tried to use the sat-Nav system driving interstate through Melbourne in September, 2016. It just froze and the maps were way out of date. The speed warnings were wrong. How did I know this? Well I also had on the dash my Navman operating with its crash camera and speed camera warnings operating. The Navman has a life long FREE update with it. It cost below $300 with a trade in. I was very disappointed that my new car could not be updated easily at each service, and that it could not even be done. Why have a sat Nav system in the car at all? You may as well buy a cheap TOM TOM or use your mobile phone.
Nissan needs to carefully product test before it sells its vehicles in any country.
If Nissan Australia has offered to update my vehicle in early 2017, I haven't been contacted.

So far so good, they say they'll update maps free. Let's hope they come through.

Nissan have finally come to the party and will be offering map updates to their most popular models from early January 2017. This will be complimentary as part of a log book service.

I've just found out the issue of attempting to update my Pulsar SatNav

What a disappointing thing. I have a 2013 B17 Pulsar, top of the range model, and to find out the extortionist cost of upgrading the maps in the SatNav unit is shattering. A lovely car in other ways. I am an owner of two Patrols and the Pulsar. I now find the poor support from Nissan Australia has changed my attitude about the company and the longevity of its products. 2017 is the year when changeovers of the larger vehicles is to occur, and this miserable attitude of Nissan will effect my purchase decisions.

Same unprofessional experience

Bought a brand new 2016 Qashqai in September, pointed out the out of date maps in the test car prior to purchase. The new car is fantastic except it came with the same out of date maps. Enquiries from the dealer in Christchurch indicate nothing likely to happen before next year. Bad customer service, won't buy another Nissan nor recommend Nissan to anyone.

2015 XTRAIL GPS MAP UPDATES

Quoted $700+ to update the GPS card in our Xtrail. Absolutely ridicious. I have contacted the dealer, nissan (via facebook, website and twitter). Haha still no reply, only a wierd phonecall from my dealer asking if our service @ 10,000km was ok. Gutless wonders!!!

Sat Nav Upgrade

I bought a 2013 Nissan Navara STX 550.
I've been trying to get the Local dealership for over 6mths to update the Navigation System as it's not up to Scratch, hasn't even got East link or City link..what a bloody joke.
After many discussions with Nissan Australia and the Local dealership they both are giving me the total run around... playing me off with each other and I cannot get a straight answer. ( The local dealership has tried on many occasions but the vehicle wont read the code!)
Come on Nissan Australia you need to lift your game as you are being left behind in Customer Satisfaction and technology & poor Service!
This is the last Nissan I'll ever own...

Nissan x-trail Navigation map update

I bought nissan x-trail in January 2016.
But i found navigation map was 2013 i talk to dealer but they said i must buy 2016 map. So i complain Nissan Customer service but they also said need to buy.
I am very disappointed with Nissan. They must provide new map. They have responsible for this.
If don't change their policy for customer i never buy nissan again.

Nissan Qashqai GPS Upgrade

My wifes 2014 Qashqai needs an update for her maps. Our house is 3 years old and the GPS doesn't recognise the address, plus a a few other issues. Went to the local Nissan dealer, sure no problem, only $716.21 and it'll be done. Sure, not on your life at that cost. Spoke to Nissan Head Office, basically told to go jump, or to quote the 'Customer Service' gentleman. 'take it or leave it.' Absolutely fabulous service?????? We have two Nissans, they tried to take me to the cleaners when I wanted a Console lid for my Navara, only $650.00, you can't just buy the lid, you have to buy the whole center console. No more Nissans for this household. Without doubt, the worst customer service I have ever received...apart from Telstra, but that's another story.

Very Outdated Navigation Maps

In June 2016 I purchased a new Ti x-trail and have just found out that the maps for the navigation system are dated 2013, despite there being a 2016 SD card available to up load. When contacting the dealership, I was informed this is the norm and that I would need to pay $400+ to get the 2016 SD update. What a total rip off as you would think when buying the latest car that you would receive the latest maps. This is just another way for Nissan and the dealership to gouge its customers. No more Nissans for me.
