Sims 4 Abuse Mods 4

Sims
  • I haven't had this happen to any of my child sims, thankfully.
That's really gross though, hope you get that fixed ASAP!
  • This clearly isn't intentional, and is probably a bug of some kind, because there is no such 'child abuse' in the Sims otherwise. You can't ask kids on dates or do any of that stuff.
I've received a bug once where someone called up my male sim to go to 'ladies' night' at the bar. I found it ridiculous and laughed it off, knowing it was a programming mishap. It's nothing to get overexcited about. I'm pretty sure they're not encouraging woo-hoo with little kids.

So the producers solve it as soon as possible because it happens a long time ago. And to me it's revolting anyway, being intentional or not (and I know it's not).

  • Well.. this is a bug like any other. The thing is: I think the producers should prioritize to fix this ASAP because this refers to a very serious crime. By the way, this actually isn't a rare bug. I already saw a lot of people who experienced this.
  • Unfortunately, it has happened to me.
I know it's not something deliberate, but it really is wrong and must be corrected.
  • This happens with me, and I play the game in brazilian version too. Happens a lot, in fact (and, like you, I'm not using mods). I pass throught something like this when I was a kid, and it really, REALLY makes me sad. I know that was not mean to happen, but is really terrible. Please, do something.

Gee calm down the person helping you doesn't work for EA they told you it was a bug this game has many bugs and some of them are laughable and some not so laughable but its still a game and you don't have to get all revolted over a bug. The company isn't encouraging younger sims to woohoo in the game the sims have to be YA and older.

  • This also happens to me, i think the sims 4 is not getting the attention it needs. !!!!
  • That's gross! They should do something fast because we all know how many children plays The Sims!
  • *shrugs* Literally nothing comes of those phone calls. But way to jump to conclusions there. You could go there as the child Sim yourself, on their own, without a phone call if you want, at midnight, at any of the venues. Child Sims can't interact with the bar or anything anyway.
The supposed problem is in your imagination, and the glitch, if it is one, is minor at best. Literally nothing happens, other than your child could go to that venue, the other Sim would appear to hang out, and that's it. *sigh* But yeah, sure.. it's really something to freak out about.

It doesn't matter if nothing comes from these phone calls, even because I know that nothing will happen. What I don't want is continue to receive such connotative phone calls to the children, because its not right. This bug has been going on for months and nothing has been done about it. It's not nice a child receive invitations with strange connotations from an adult or receive calls at midnight inviting them to go to a bar or a nightclub.
I'm not worried about what comes after, because it does not have after. I am worried about these messages, which need to stop coming this way to children.

  • I agree with the member who wrote. We know that nothing will happen, but neither should there be this kind of message. Just that: no message and romantic invitations for kids!
And this is a SERIOUS bug, because if the producers left open, imagine what the modders with bad intent not to make from this failure? The game is not created properly a limit to suit that kind of message each can receive according to the age.
And we know that there are many hatters who use this flaw to soil the image of the game, because create memes as if the game was +18. And it's not! And he, in general, if aware of this!
  • My Sim child gets invitations to dinner from his brother-in-law, but that's about it. The part about 'opposites attract' is a bit creepy between an adult and a child, but inviting a youngster out for a burger isn't that unusual if the adult is known to the family. Just hit 'cancel' and don't worry about it; it might be a bug but a fairly minor one in my opinion.

  • I really hate to talk about it, but for those of you who find it funny and unnecessary, I only say one thing:
I avoided the maximum possible to have children in the game to not have to go through this bug, because I was sexually abused for some years until my adolescence, and this kind of bug caused me a fu**** psychological trigger. When this happened in my game a while ago, I couldn't play for about 2 months and when I returned I had to erase all my saves because I could not play with the same family or in a 'world' where that 'monster' lived. And I just went back playing because of my husband's encouragement.
I know very well that it is not intentional of the producers, but if you have never been through something similar in real life, don't think that whoever went through this can click cancel and follow the game quietly as if your psychological did not burn Instantly. Empathy and common sense sent back memories.

Yes, they are people who were discussing the issue in another community and have come here to leave their respective opinions. It does not change the relevance, even because, all paid for the game.

  • Happens to me all the time. It's really annoying and makes me feel a little bit sick everytime ( i know this is a game and that is a bug, but still, no).
I have to cheat to make my child sims forget any adults for this not to happen all the time.

  • I've not seen that, I don't have mods or custom content. But I did see a townie adult in a fist fight with a townie teen. I would have thought that might not be by design. If it is, then it's a first in the series.
What I have are teens calling up my YA and Adult Sims to skip school with them. That borders on a little weird.
But I also have other message bugs like a message to congrat. on promotions when they don't even have a job. Or other Sims getting messages for a business they don't own etc. Just because they happened to visit it and or told the NPC worker just leveled up etc. I assume these are all bugs and not by design or bad quality control but bugs introduced in the last six months.

Sims 4 Mental Health Mods Review-PTSD, Bipolar II, and Autism. I love the Sims. I can get totally lost in the game. I even love looking through the incredible mods people make for the game. Imagine my surprise and delight to find that people have put in mental health mods! Of course I had to try them out.

  • Hi, people! Fortunately I didn't have this bug yet but it's not a good thing for who had problems with child abuse. Also, these new people (including me, even having this account since 2010) commenting in this thread are from the SimsTime Facebook group, and in there they're discussing and complaining about this terrifying bug.
  • Never change TS4 forum. Bug or not the instincts of the forum defenders is so strong they are now even explaining away plum. No wonder this forum is such a disaster. Entertaining though.
  • I'm experiencing a glitch where when I send my Sim to go speak to his child daughter, the romance social option is there instead of the 'Funny' one, with all interactions including woohoo. It's vile and needs to be fixed asap. I'm not going back into my game until it's been sorted. It's been there since the latest patch, I've removed all mods and it's still happening.

    Hello @JessicaSimston
It would be good to zip.and upload your save game file to a file sharing site, then pm the file link to SimGuruNick , explaining what has occurred in your game.

I commented for the first time. It means that is the first (and only) problem that I saw relevance for use my time here. Doesn't change the fact that I pay for the game like everybody else and I want to be listen.
  • You can never discover The Sims games 100%. Even when you think you know everything, the game manages to surprise you.
That's why I do experiments in the game from time to time and tutorial videos on YouTube.
  • Those of you experiencing this may well want to post to this EA Bugs report: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4-Bug-Reports/COLLECTION-THREAD-GT-Weird-Text-Messages/m-p/5022962. Add a 'me too' and post an explanation of why and how this is a problem for you. This is a way to move the issue up in priority.

  • I had a similar problem. Couple in a house. Brother of one of the couple moved in. 1st son appears. Suddenly 1st son has romance options available. The game changed his status from son to roommate. You might check if something like this happens in your households. You need MC mod to fix this bug. Might help with this specific issue aswell because you can delete the whole relationship with the plum. You might not eliminate the problem but one plum is unlikely to pester your children again. Might occur for other plum but then you can fix it in the same way.
Its not a solution, just a band aid.

Me too! I wondered about all the first time posters.
It's never happened in any of my games - thankfully.

  • I had to look again at the date of the first post. This is a bug that has been happening for quite some time now. Right off the top of my head I'd say some form of this has been going on for at least a year or more. It's not child abuse or kiddy nasties it's a bug. Apparently they can't seen to get it fixed or they fix it and it comes back.
I just took a quick look and I found a thread about a daughter flirting with her mother and father. That one is from 2014. There's another from December 2015, but this one is a Dad flirting with his kids. Another one in July 2015 with adults flirting with kids.
So I'd say if you have a problem with this you might want to zip up a file and send it off to the Gurus.

the sims 4 isn't getting new whims right now and I think they have dropped them all together if we want new whims in sims 4 we need to tweet the gurus and tell them we like whims
  • Do you know that this game is a 12 rated game so little kids shouldn't be playing on it as there is stuff that kids shouldn't know about. This is wrong too though but remember no kids should play

My first question would be how many with this particular bug have mods installed? Or custom content of any kind? As I said I don't have any mods installed and I haven't seen this particular message. Some never answer if they have script mods installed or not. If you do, left over files from script mods can cause a lot of problems in games even if you remove them. Also, just 'disabling' mods never counts no matter what anyone says. The best thing to do when you have a weird bug, or something not many have is to remove your mods and reinstall your game. Period. I know most won't believe that but it is a rule of thumb with any game. But I would zip up the save and send it to @SimGuruNick.

  • In all honesty if I saw that I would probably end up laughing since it is just a game. I would just click cancel and ignore it. Like one of the people above have said about their male sim; I have a male sim who gets invited to ladies night all the time and the female gets invited to men's night.

I know what you mean. I have a Sim family with a couple of kids. The husband's 'other woman' came to visit. Not only did she flirt with his daughter but she and the wife spent a long time being friendly and having a good time. It was all pretty silly because this game has no real idea of how to have Sims behave. When you get a romantic triangle going more than likely everyone is friends. So yes I think the whole thing is pretty funny.

I'm glad someone didn't take offence to what I said. If they were real people then I would be appalled by their behavior, but since they are not sims stupidity is to be expected. It's best to make light of a situation that isn't even real.

If the game would contain certain features and safeguards then I would consider playing without mods. My game experience significantly increased since I installed MC because I could remove unwanted relationships that are added at random and not getting removed by the game properly. And until recently there was a mod to fix the sims behavior to uncontrollably lust after drinking a glas of water. This is expecially frustrating when dealing with vampires and certain weaknesses.
I would prefer if we wouldnt need mods for these things. Then we wouldnt have to deal with certain issues.

Things like this are always funny until it happens to you. And there are people that feel disturbed by the idea of plum in any game and everywhere. Not everyone just shrugs and moves on. I find it actually deeply concerning if someone just looks away when plum occurs anywhere. Game or otherwise.

You are entitled to your opinion. But I personally have been through a lot of plum. Games are meant to be amusing. If one takes them too seriously then what is the point of playing them to relax? One shouldn't take everything seriously, it will only cause unnecessary stress especially when it is in a sims game. The sims are meant to be goofy with the choices they make on their own.

It's probably an oversight and or bug. And you can't ever know you don't have it unless you actually remove all mods and custom content. Start a new game after reinstalling the game. Then if you do, you have a right to complain. But if I were a guru and the person said or wouldn't say they had mods installed or not remove those mods and do a fresh restart I would mark it down to a mod problem and move along. You can't complain about bugs when you have mods installed. Only those with a vanilla game know if it's not mod related of any bug.

  • I've had this glitch to and I feel like some of you guys are overreacting. It's literally just a bug that needs to be fixed, like if this was to happen irl that would be creepy and disgusting but its a GAME lmao. Y'all are getting so emotional over a computer game that has a bug. Y'all really need to stop stressing over this and just realize its glitch looooooooool.
