Shogun 2 Total War Black Ship

Got the ingame message about the black ship, but i have no idea where it sails, so if anyone could enlighten me on that, i would really appreciate it. As for Shogun 2, you do indeed need to throttle back and make sure you have plenty of money saved up and plenty of armies out there properly deployed before you trigger realm divide. I've also found that marrying off your daughters to factions friendly to you will considerably delay their entry into the war against you.
I'm playing as the Otomo for the first time and it's a blast. Absolutely love them. There is one thing though, the Nanban Trade Ships cannons seem to be kinda sorta really weak.
Like, the ship itself is badass. Just having one in a fleet almost guarantees me a victory. They kick ass and all that. But idk, it seems like a cannon hitting a rickity little canoe would destroy it in a single shot rather than take a few volleys.
Anyways, is there a way to boost their damage in the game files? Just for even more overpowered realistically.
