Nov 08, 2017  Hey, are you ready for this, are you hanging on the edge of your seat. Okay I admit, that was lame. Greetings from Helsinki, Finland! I'm here to talk about all things related to game development, well at least I try to be. The second section, the Solo GM Guidebook, uses the Adventure Creator as the basis to begin playing roleplaying games solo. This supplement doesn’t provide an RPG system or rules set, instead it lets you take your favorite RPG system that you already own and build stories for it as you play.

You can update your email address, name, date of birth, and more information on your account. You can also change your ID, but only once every 72 hours.

When you update your account information, you’ll either:

  • enter a security code if you set up Login Verification; or
  • answer the security question you set up when you created your account, if you don’t have Login Verification turned on.

To update your account:

  1. Go to the About Me tab in your Account Settings.
    • You can get here from the Origin client, origin.com, or ea.com.
  2. Click Edit to update your ID, name, email, and date of birth, or update your country of residence and language.
  3. Answer your security question or enter your Login Verification code to confirm your identity, then change away!

Step 1 – Make sure your email address is up to date

It’s super important that the email address on your EA Account is up to date. It’s key to making sure you can get back into your account if you forget your password or when you want to update your information.

Swap emails from one account to another, if you’ve changed your email address or you don’t have access to the one you used to create your account.

Add a secondary email

A secondary email address helps you reset your password if you’re locked out of your EA Account and primary email address.

Step 2 – Change your security question

Forget your answer? Update your security question if you set up your account a while ago and things have changed.

Step 3 – Set up Login Verification

Login Verification is great way to help keep your account safe and secure. Make sure you’re getting your Login Verification codes so you can get signed in.

  • Playing FIFA? We require Login Verification.

Step 4 – Check your password

Reset your password if you forgot it or it needs updating.

Step 5 – Link your accounts

If you’ve played one of our games before, you’re probably already linked. But double-check before you start playing just to be sure:

  • PlayStation and Xbox players: Check that you linked your EA Account to your PlayStation™Network Online ID or Xbox Live Gamertag.
  • PC players: Make sure you’ve downloaded and can log in to Origin.

Step 6 – Play by the rules

Like most games, we have rules. Our rules make sure that you, and players like you, have fun and stay safe while playing our games.

Read them, love them, live by them.

Playing on PC? Check to see that your computer meets the minimum requirements for the game you’re going to play.

Here’s how to check requirements for any game on Origin:

  1. Find the game in the Store on origin.com or in the Origin client.
  2. Click on it to open the game details.
  3. Click on System Requirements to see the minimum requirements.

Use our tips to redeem your codes for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Step 1 - Find your code

There are two kinds of codes you might get: character and QR.

  • Character codes are a string of numbers and letters, and will look something like this: ABCD-1234-EFGH-5678
  • QR codes kind of look like barcodes, but as a dotted square. There's an example of one to the right.

TIP: After you type in the code, read it backwards. You'll spot mistakes easier.

Step 2 - Redeem your code for PC through Origin

Remember to log in with the EA Account where you want to add the game.

Origin client

  1. Click the Origin menu, or your Mac's top menu to select Games.
  2. Select Redeem Product Code...

Origin website

  1. Select Game Library.
  2. Click Add a Game in the top right corner, then click Redeem Product Code...
  3. Type in your game's Product Code when you're ready, then click Next. Your game should show up in the Game Library.

If you’ve pre-ordered, remember to redeem your pre-order code, too.

Step 3 - Redeem for PlayStation 4

PlayStation 4

  1. Open the PlayStation Store from your PlayStation 4.
  2. Choose Redeem Codes from the Store menu.
  3. Enter your code and follow the on-screen instructions.

PlayStation® App

  4. Select Redeem Codes.
  5. Tap Continue.
  6. Scan the voucher code numbers with your device’s camera, or tap Enter a Code Manually to type it in.

If you’ve pre-ordered, remember to redeem your pre-order code, too.

Step 4 - Redeem for Xbox One

You can:

Redeem online

Visit Microsoft's redemption page to add the code to your account.

Use your Kinect

This is the easiest way. Just:

  1. Say, 'Xbox, use a code'
  2. Hold the QR code up to the camera.

Type it in on your Xbox One

If your Kinect sensor doesn’t recognize the code, select Or enter the 25-character code.

I'm not sure if my game installed

Digital copies should install to your system as soon as your download is done. If that doesn’t happen, try these steps to manually install:

Are You Ready To Rpg

PlayStation 4

  1. Open your Notifications from the XMB, or main PlayStation menu.
  2. Choose Downloads and find your game download file.
  3. Press the Options button and select Install.

Xbox One

  1. Navigate to your Download History from the main Xbox Menu.
  2. Select your game file and press the menu button.
  3. Select Install.

If your installation freezes, gets stuck, or fails, your game file may have corrupted while downloading.

We recommend deleting or manually uninstalling any files that made it through the installation process, then download and install your game again.

Once you install your game, restart your game or console. This makes sure your system checks for game updates.

Ready

Playing one of our games on Nintendo Switch? Awesome. Learn how to get your account set up to play.

Make sure you have an EA Account and a Nintendo account

You’ll need both an EA Account and a Nintendo Account to play our Nintendo Switch games, including FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT).

  1. Follow our steps to create your EA Account.
    • Already have an EA Account? You can skip this step. Just make sure you can log in so you’re ready to play.
  2. Follow Nintendo’s steps to create your Nintendo Account.

What if I have a child account?

If you live in the European Union, the minimum age for an adult account may have changed in your country under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If the GDPR lowers the minimum age for an adult account, you may be eligible for an adult account sooner.

EA Account

  • Parents should make their own EA Account before setting up one for their child.
  • Use your email address to set it up — you’ll use it again as the parental email for your child’s account.
    • If you need to contact us for help with either account — yours or your child’s — use the parent account to talk to us.
  • Follow our steps for creating an account for a child.

Nintendo Account

  • If you’re younger than 13, your parent or guardian will need to create an account first and then create an account for you.
    • The Nintendo owner must be 18 or older to add Nintendo accounts for children.
  • Follow Nintendo’s steps for creating an account for a child.
